Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

Ok first of all – this is an indie film. It looks like a very low budget production and it is one. It’s not really a horror movie too. It’s more of a story of two couples thinking to make a horror movie. With some artsy-fartsy things in mind. It’s not a bad movie if you consider the budget, but it’s not a horror at all. Sure there’s some suspense eventually, and even some sort-of scary elements. The acting isn’t really that bad too, actually it’s better than in most high profile horror flicks. The only problem with this one is that it gets a little boring. The action is really slow paced, before anything starts to happen most of the movie is already over. And seriously, if I wanted “relationship drama” I’d watch something else anyway, right? So this is a hit and miss at the same time. Hit because it’s pretty clever, mocking some of hollywoods greatest artsy films, and showing you can create something that looks like a real movie even with low budget. But it’s boring, and the plot is pretty weird even for an indie film.

I have no idea who to recommend it to. If you want a horror movie, then it’s not for you. It wont be scary in the slightest, and it’s not visually stunning. More like a semi-home-video kinda thing. It’s not a horror-fake-documentary either because the camera man is “invisible” to the characters. It’s a film about making movies before you’re big and rich and can afford special effects and writers who can translate the plot from a spanish movie. For me it’s kinda cool because once I tried to make a home-horror movie too and the end result wasn’t good at all. It’s basically a movie about relationships that pretends to be a horror. If you’re into that then go ahead and watch it
